Cleveland’s premier skater-run flat track roller derby league, the Burning River Roller Girls, are now rolling into their 8th season!
BRRG’s Hazmat Travel Team, plus some shiny new skaters from the Pyromaniacs farm team, took down the Rubber City Rollergirls in Akron last weekend, winning 240-172. Now BRRG is preparing for their Season 8 Home Team Opening Game, featuring a double-header with the Hellbombers battling the Cleveland Steamers and the Rolling Pin-Ups duking it out with the Hard Knockers. This will kick off the five-game long Home Team season, lasting through July.
Come cheer on your favorite Home Team in Parma on March 8th at the Ohio Nets Sports Complex. Doors open at 6pm and the first bout begins at 7pm. As always it’ll be a fun, family friendly environment – with beer available for adults, as well.
The Hazmat crew and Burning River All-Stars will have an exciting season of travel, as well, so look for a game at home or in the surrounding areas to cheer on the big Orange and Blue, including Tremont local …oooh SHINEE! This season will take us to Pittsburgh, Kalamazoo, Buffalo, as well as two fabulous tournaments – Brew Ha Ha in Milwaukee and ECDX, the East Coast Derby Extravaganza.
Season passes and Home Team Game Opener tickets are now available at http://burningriverrollergirls.com/index.php/buy-tickets.
