New Tremont Connection for Dress for Success Cleveland!

Banyan Tree has become an external drop-off site for Dress for Success Cleveland, accepting gently worn women’s clothing! Thursday, February 12, 2015, 11am – 9pm is the kick-off of this new community partnership. You are invited to purge your closet to donate so you can have room to shop new and unique items at Banyan Tree located at 2242 Professor, Cleveland, OH 44113! Ongoing hours for drop –off will be on Tuesdays – 11am – 7pm and Thursday 11am – 9pm.
Dress for Success Cleveland is a local affiliate, since 1998, of a global, volunteer-based not for profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them professional attire, a network of support and the career tools for advancement to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success Cleveland relies on the public’s support, donations and partnerships to educate, enhance, encourage and empower the 800 a year women they serve. Donations of clothing are a hand up, not a hand out! So, in making your selections to donate, ask yourself , ”would I still wear this myself but just have the good fortune of being able to purchase something new?” If the answer is “yes” without hesitation, then those are the items to donate!
Banyan Tree is a hip and stylish clothing and lifestyle boutique in the heart of Cleveland’s historic Tremont neighborhood. If you are looking for unique gift items and clothing, Banyan Tree, is the store for you! This new community partnership has the perfect synergy!
Accepted items: Business suits, blouses, slacks, skirts and Casual Attire, khaki pant, solid colored polo shirts.
Accessories: Jewelry, scarves, belts, shoes, purses, coats, boots and unused hosiery
Dress for Success Cleveland services begins by transforming a woman’s outside, but believes the real essence of her transformation occurs BEYOND THE SUIT! We would like to invite agencies, donors and potential volunteers to our 2015 Beyond The Suit Open House events at our facility location, 2239 E. 55th Street, Cleveland, OH 44103 from 2pm-4pm on Fridays February 20, April24June 26, August 21, October 23 and December 11 to get a better understanding of the scope of our services.
