CMSD Invites Public Input on Long-Term School Planning

CMSD will engage the community in planning the future of academic programs and buildings.

The Board of Education is revisiting the District’s master facilities plan. Cleveland’s population patterns have changed since the plan was last updated five years ago, and the board wants to ensure that the taxpayers’ investment matches community needs.

The independent Bond Accountability Commission has called for a fresh look, citing trends in enrollment and construction costs. The BAC was created to monitor a building and renovation program that has been funded by the state and local bond issues.

City of Cleveland Kennel is Full, Adopt Today

The City of Cleveland’s kennel is filled to capacity as more than 100 dogs wait to be adopted into forever homes. With more dogs entering the shelter every day, the kennel urges loving families to adopt in order to get more CITY DOGS out of the kennel and into permanent homes.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED), a global movement that celebrates, empowers and supports women in business to alleviate poverty, is coming to Cleveland for the first time from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Linsalata Alumni Center of Case Western Reserve University, located at 11310 Juniper Road, on November 12.

Social entrepreneur and Cleveland-native Wendy Diamond launched the WED Organization in 2014. Recognizing that women in business are a force for good— financially elevating their families, neighborhoods, communities, and countries—Diamond sought to bring more support and awareness to the global impact of women in business.
