Three Officers Suspended Without Pay

Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson, Director of Public Safety Michael McGrath and Division of Police Chief Calvin D. Williams announce that three Cleveland police officers have been suspended without pay for withholding information regarding an officer’s duty-related injury, failing to report a use of force incident, improperly engaging in a vehicle pursuit and other departmental charges. Patrol Officer Steven Fedorko, a four-year veteran of the Division of Police, has been suspended without pay for thirty days. Patrol Officer Joseph Tylka, a seven-year veteran of the Division of Police, has been suspended without pay for twelve days. Patrol Officer Lewis Stevens, a four-year veteran of the Division of Police, has been suspended without pay for eight days. Suspensions are effective immediately. All officers were assigned to the Fifth District at the time of the incident.
