A Beautiful Day for Ohio City Street Festival 2015

A special report by The Tremonster

The Ohio City Street Festival 2015 was held from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sunday.  The West Side Market opened its doors from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm just for Sunday’s event.  The Great Ohio City Drum Jam made its way through the crowd filling the closed West Side Market Strip section of W. 25th Street for the Ohio City Street Festival on Sunday, and The Tremonster was on site to capture a rhythmic feature from Cleveland area percussionist and development/public relations/nonprofit management professional, Jeffrey Bowen.  Bowen is a resident poet & conga player with the Cleveland band Cats On Holiday.

Attendees of Ohio City Street Festival 2015 were treated to food from over 20 Ohio City restaurants; vendors from Ohio City retailers; music, dance, and art programming; two beer gardens featuring beer from Ohio City breweries Great Lakes Brewing Company, Platform Beer Company, and Market Garden Brewery; competitions, including the Ohio City Farm Pie Baking Contest, the Mitchell’s Ice Cream eating contest, and Bratwurst eating competition sponsored by West Side Market tenant Frank’s Bratwurst; and a dunking booth for dunking “your favorite Ohio City neighbor!”
