CMSD Releases Initial Set of K-8 and High School Recommendations

To Parents & Caregivers, Partners, and Friends of CMSD:

As I mentioned in a separate message earlier this week, Cleveland Metropolitan School District has been working to prepare an initial set of comprehensive K-8 and high school recommendations to be considered for approval by the Board of Education.  These recommendations are based on our citywide analysis data and the feedback received at recent community meetings as well as online, via e-mail, and elsewhere.

Those recommendations are now posted to QualitySchoolsForCLEKids.org. I encourage you to visit the website, review the recommendations, and plan to join us at one of the upcoming community meetings.

While this process challenges us to make thoughtful and informed decisions that impact schools across the District, we arrived at these recommendations with one goal always in mind – to get as many students as possible into quality academic programs in modernized facilities.

I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming meeting and reviewing with the entire school community our recommendations that will continue our work toward quality schools for all of Cleveland’s students.

Sincerely,

Eric S. Gordon

CEO, Cleveland Metropolitan School District
