Hello, Fellow Tremonsters!

Beecology is changing its name to Beessential. The Ohio business based in Bedford Heights has decided to fine-tune its brand to illustrate the link between its naturally-inspired ingredients and living chemical-free.

I work for Beessential and I live in Tremont.  In the following months I want to pass along some of what I’ve learned about the vital role bees play in our lives, and give you more in-depth details about this incredible, local Cleveland honey-based business, Beessential.

In this introductory article in The Tremonster, I spoke with the co-owners and operators of Beessential, David and Amy Rzpeka, who, as you will find out, are beekeepers. Continue reading

7 pm Tonight: Cjay and Stop the Violence at Steelyard Commons NNO

Cjay will perform tonight at Steelyard Commons Night Out Against Crime

Cjay and Stop the Violence will perform at 7:00 p.m. at Night Out Against Crime,  Steelyard Commons.

From my first day performing at Cleveland’s National Night Out Against Crime (NNO) in Steelyard Commons in 2009, I’ve understood and loved the purpose of the event: Invite the community out for a safe an entertaining day, filled with different cultures, educational segments, and performers with amazing skills. My love for performing is not the only reason behind my annual appearance. I have a passion for inspiring the youth and giving back to my community, so my partners and I use our talents to uplift the youth. We promote non-violence and education through music and positive coaching. The National Night Out Against Crime became important to me when I realized how much good and positivity can come from the city of Cleveland when everyone comes together to do his or her part. I thank Jenn Scudellari for the opportunity and for making the NNO a successful event yearly. – Cjay, CEO/ Entertainment Director, Stop The Violence Tour
