After a long, three-year wait, Visible Voice Books has returned to Tremont in a new location: 2258 Professor Avenue. Manager Aaron Turkel runs the day-to-day operations of Visible Voice Books, now with more store space, more parking, and a café. We sat down with Turkel just before the book store’s opening day for a one-on-one conversation.
Spread the word: there’s a new school of dance opening in Tremont! The Movement Project, a professional dance company based out of Pilgrim Congregational Church, will be offering Creative Movement, Modern, and Ballet for youth ages 4-18.
The Movement Project, founded in 2009 by Megan Lee Gargano and Rebecca J. Leuszler, strives to challenge perspectives, evoke social change, and bridge communities through the power of movement. Visible Voice Books is back. The tuition-free, Pre-K-8 school in the heart of our neighborhood, Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Tremont Montessori, has a new principal at its helm: Natalie Celeste. Celeste, a Montessori-trained educator, will steward the over 100-year-old, child-centered educational approach based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood.

Crust Pizza Kitchen (216-583-0257, 2258 Professor Ave.) is testing a “soft” open this week, opening daily at 4 pm until owner Mike Griffin and co-owner Megan Griffin have their brand new place running on all cylinders with their new, bigger space, new menu offerings, and new liquor license before returning to regular hours. Beviamo Cafe, which has been in limbo between Tremont locations, has closed its Literary Ave. location earlier than planned, and won’t reopen for a month or so, when The new Professor Ave. space is ready.
